Some of the nation’s most powerful venture capitalists are scheduled to come to Atlanta this month for Atlanta’s VC Forum Road Trip on April 24 and 25. Top venture capitalists will hear presentations by Atlanta’s fastest growing technology companies and have an opportunity to network with other leading venture funds.

John Yates, Chair of the Technology Group at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, will moderate a panel of Chief Information Officers from the area’s largest companies, including Esat Sezer, Senior Vice President and CIO of Coca-Cola Enterprises; UPS CIO Dave Barnes; Southern Company CIO Becky Blalock; Porsche North America CIO Philip Davis; and Melanee Haywood, Acting CIO of Delta Technology at Delta Airlines.

“This event will give fast-growing technology companies a unique opportunity to obtain funding, and is also likely to spawn a number of cooperative deals.” Mr. Yates said, adding “The Forum is critical for bringing entrepreneurs together with key sources of capital from other parts of the country.”

A select group of technology companies has been chosen to present to the VC group as part of the Deal Showcase. The Road Trip will also include a Deal Exchange, which is a VC-only session that allows the attending venture capitalists to share details of a technology deal with the group.
