MMM Attorneys Participate in SSA Event on Revenue Recognition for Technology Companies

February 29, 2008

Two attorneys from Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP will play key roles in an upcoming seminar on revenue recognition.

Sandra Sheets Gardiner will moderate the upcoming Southeastern Software Association (SSA) discussion titled “Revenue Recognition for the Technology Company: How Your Negotiations Can Impact Your Quarterly Results.” Paul Arne will serve on the panel, which is set for Wednesday, March 5.

The discussion will center on how license and pricing accommodations that software and technology companies give their customers could adversely affect their ability to recognize revenue. This panel will highlight common mistakes and educate executives about how to avoid them.

Gardiner is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Technology group, and co-chairs the Green Business group. Arne is the co-chair of both the Technology group and the Privacy and Security group. Other panelists also includes Seth McDaniel and Mike Warren of Frazier & Deeter.

SSA is one of the country’s premier networking and professional development organizations for high-tech and software professionals. SSA, along with WIT and B&TA, joined to form the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) in 1998. Morris, Manning & Martin played a part in its founding many years ago, and MMM attorney Larry Street serves on its board.

The March 5 program is free for members, and $20 for non-members. It will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Matrix Resources, 115 Perimeter Center Place NE in Atlanta.
