Madison Selected as MMM Partner

Healthcare Attorney’s Promotion Effective January 1

Atlanta-based law firm Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP has selected associate Michele Madison to become a partner in its Healthcare group, effective January 1, 2009.

“During her three years with the firm, Michele has made great contributions to growing our Healthcare practice, one of MMM’s premier practices, and she will be a terrific addition to the partnership,” said Managing Partner Bob Saudek.

A veteran of the healthcare industry, Madison is widely respected for her insights into the healthcare regulatory environment and information technology. She has efficiently assisted clients with difficult legal issues arising from myriad rules and regulations and advised them about complex changes in the physician self-referral statutes and regulatory limitations. She has negotiated multi-million dollar transactions, reviewed and analyzed joint ventures, implemented compliance audits and programs and helped develop centers of excellence. In addition, she facilitated the expansion of a cancer center’s hospital-based radiation oncology and medical oncology service.

In addition to her legal work, she is a member of the Junior League. She also leads community seminars to update senior citizens, church members, rural hospitals, physicians and others on critical aspects of the healthcare system.
