The Terrorism Insurance Group ("TIG") closely monitors and advises clients on the implementation of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 ("TRIA").

This Web site provides up-to-date information relating to TRIA from the Department of the Treasury, NAIC, and the states. You also will find TRIA Alerts prepared by the TIG analyzing new regulations and TRIA guidance.

TIG MEMBERS 

TIG is a newly formed practice group that was established for the purpose of monitoring and advising clients on TRIA's implementation. Composing TIG initially are five attorneys of the firm, each having a different area responsibility as to TRIA:

Tom Player will follow issues concerning implementation, exclusions and pricing;

Robert “Skip” Myers will focus on TRIA's implications for captives, self-insureds, state funds, and workers’ compensation insurers;

Joseph Holahan is monitoring bulletins, regulations, or other advice from Washington, specifically Congress, or the Department of the Treasury;

Chris Petersen will focus on life and health insurance issues; and

Anthony Roehl will follow the state-by-state implications, including coordination by the NAIC.
