In
the past few months, state and federal courts in Georgia have issued
important new decisions relating to the enforceability of restrictive
covenants in the employment context. Georgia
employers should review their restrictive covenant agreements and
consider whether the agreements need to be updated to be consistent
with these new court decisions. Failing to
update these agreements could leave some of a company’s most valuable
assets unprotected and vulnerable (e.g., the company’s customer
relationships, its customer information, its employees, and its
confidential information).
