Grant W. Collingsworth is a partner in the firm’s Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions and Securities Practices. He concentrates in representing public and private companies in complex corporate finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and compliance, venture capital financings, and going private transactions.

Mr. Collingsworth has an active practice representing public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and going private transactions. His experience includes representing companies executing growth strategies through acquisitions in a variety of industries. Mr. Collingsworth has also represented both emerging growth companies and venture capital firms in financing transactions, including some of the largest venture capital transactions in the Southeast. In addition, he has represented companies and underwriters in numerous initial and secondary public offerings.

Mr. Collingsworth has led the firm’s project management efforts and the development of its patent-pending Legal Project Management System.

Mr. Collingsworth is a frequent speaker on corporate finance topics, such as mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, corporate governance and securities law matters.


Recent Experience

Representing Internap Network Services Corporation (Nasdaq:INAP) in its $217 million acquisition of VitalStream Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:VSTM);

Representing SciQuest, Inc. (Nasdaq:SQST) in its “going private” acquisition by Trinity Ventures; and

Representing McKesson Corporation (NYSE:MCK) in numerous acquisition activities.
