Robert E. Saudek is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Development and Finance Practice. Mr. Saudek practices in the areas of commercial real estate development, commercial real estate syndication and real estate joint ventures.

After beginning his career at a Wall Street law firm in New York City, Mr. Saudek moved to Atlanta and became one of the founding partners of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. Mr. Saudek has practiced in the firm’s Real Estate department since its inception 30 years ago and has handled all aspects of commercial real estate work, including acquisitions, developments, financings, syndications, leasing, joint ventures, and capital formation. He was instrumental in representing Jacoby Development and AIG Global Real Estate in their acquisition of the Atlantic Station site in Atlanta, which has become one of the leading mixed use projects in the southeastern United States.

Mr. Saudek served as managing partner of Morris, Manning & Martin LLP for fifteen years, during which the firm grew to be one of the most successful firms in the Southeastern United States and moved into the ranks of the AmLaw 200 U.S. law firms. The firm now has over 175 attorneys in Atlanta, Ga., Washington, D.C., Savannah, Ga., Raleigh Durham, N.C., Beijing, China, and Taipei, Taiwan. Mr. Saudek has been designated by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of Atlanta’s 50 Power Attorneys in each of the last three years.

Mr. Saudek heads up his firm’s pro bono and civic involvement programs, and is active in raising funds and providing firm volunteers for numerous pro bono, charitable, and civic causes, including The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Project Open Hand, Georgia Innocence Project, where he serves on the Board of Directors, Service Juris, Woodruff Arts Center, and United Way.
